The fear trying too hard…soon morphs into the fear of looking like you’re trying too hard. A short time later it becomes the fear of trying too hard to look like you’re not trying too hard. And so on, and so on, and so on…ad nauseum.
Yeah of course we all want to make it look easy. Pro. Rolling as smooth and effortless as a Tim Mason ‘teener. But it doesn’t always work out that way. And if you’re always holding back a bit, trying to smooth it all over, deferring to your fears, you’re missing out. Tripping and falling once in a while is a small price to pay.
Higher highs bring lower lows.
Safe, controlled, predictable, boring, safe.
There’s a fine line between confident and cocky. Between arrogant and experienced.
