The quest. The trek. The search. The journey down discovery road. ( I like Journey…) The answers are there, they’ve been there from day one and you’ll find them. At least some of them, eventually. You won’t find them in other people or places. But those people and places just might help you find them in yourself. They’re all sort of like mirrors, but more like windows, windows that have a reflective surface and at the same time allow a view into other places.
Seeking transcendent truths through examination of the simple things…I like that. The smell of an old suitcase, the texture of its plaid interior, the sound of its buckles, the satisfying curve of its handle and its substantial weight even when it’s empty. You can learn something right there at home before you pack that suitcase for a trip. What does it all mean?
