Yes. Yes. and Yes. You are more likely to get hired when you're out of school, ie in the summer and can work full time, except for the fact that the weather is nice and everyone wants to be a bike messenger in the summer. Part time jobs are out there but it's easier to go to part time when you prove your self than it is to get hired part time out of nowhere. You should get your BA, then your Masters then get a messenger job. It will give you a great perspective on the field and give you a real leg up on your peers.
