If I remember that Ragbrai day, that stop involved Whiskey with our lemonade then a very dark ride into town about 10 pm.

I think you're right and I also think it's amazing you can remember things like that with so many RAGBRAIs so many pass-through towns so many road side beers blended together over the years. cheers
