looking at the future listening to the past

sitting in a booth in a respectable diner in Georgetown waiting for a breakfast burrito sipping red beer staring at that kid the future sitting across from me while in the booth behind me the past sounded so cheesy phrased journalistically-MTV silly and pointed at Tad of TAD as he re-lived the late 80s into the 90s and beyond regurgitating realistically. I wanted to say something about Jack Pepsi but it just wasn't quite right.

I had the cd single of Jack Pepsi in 1991 and I mailed it to Dave Troy in the 50112

the only time i ever actually saw Tad before this diner sighting was at an Amazon Employee picnic circa 1999-2000 i was not an employee but a +1 with someone who was. Tad was somewhere on the TAD-Hog Molly continuum and did not look too happy to be playing Remilinger Farms on a Saturday afternoon.

i think we all have our own wayback machine retrospectives with the narrative of our choice but when that is simulcast with a SPIN magazine Q & A reporter rock star dialog there's a say it ain't so Joe moment ...an unwelcome wake up call a kick in the balls

Tad is an imposing figure. I believe he was then but may be more so now. Fucking A+. if you see a Rolling Stone article or something like that soon let me know I'm curious and I don't get out much

wish I could say all I wanted was a Pepsi or a Jack Pepsi but really I just wanted a breakfast burrito and the red beer was a bonus. I didn't know Tad was interviewing there
