Yi Sang (1910–1937) was born Kim Haekyŏng and lived his entire life during the Japanese occupation of Korea. He wrote and published in both Korean and Japanese, and is one of Korea’s most important modernist writers. A book collecting his work in translation is forthcoming from Wave Books
