This is Bret from Albuquerque wearing a one-of-a-kind pilderwasser track jacket in situ. You don't see murals like that in Seattle.
I have in my hands Issue #19 of THE OUTCAST. I've been exchanging zines and t-shirts with these guys for years. They kick ass in a way that no one else can possibly kick ass. Bikes, single speed bikes, beer, nudity, they have it all figured out. You may not see this zine in your local bike shop so go on-line and buy a copy and a T-shirt and some stickers too. shonky one speed bollocks
If anyone is still in touch with Jeff Nachtigal, please let him know I am taking very good care of the beautiful Assos catalogs that show up once in a while in my building, mailed to his old address, an address that he hasn't resided at for perhaps 10 or more years. Jeff, I appreciate and care for your catalogs as well as or better than anyone else could. If anyone can use these I can. I even share them with my coworkers.
Team pilderwasser has a bus this year. A bus. Bring us your poor, your tired, your kegs of beer and your money for gas. All roads lead to Grinnell, Iowa. This is not a joke. Talk to Jimbo we're taking applications. I'm talking about RAGBRAI here. We'll have memebers of the Replacements and Soul Asylum along for the ride with live music on demand and a one time only top secret Husker Du reunion show is in the works. As you can tell, there's a heavy mid-west influence but like I said it's RAGBRAI.
And finally to the voice, the female voice that yelled at me today in the Market "GET HOT ROOKIE" thanks it made me smile. Because I'm not a rookie, I ride as fast as I need to ride and I was already hot, as in pissed off after my second trip to Pier 70 for some bullshit job and riding through the market the wrong way among the tourists it's good to hear a voice of recognition, if not familiar on a personal level, at least familiar with the concept.
