To the untrained eye, the naive tourist, the nearsighted office worker or the attorney who just can't see the big picture--a group of messengers standing by, might as well be a flock of pigeons eating up some pork fried rice that spilled from a plastic container tossed to the curb from a passing car. They make strange noises, they smell funny, they get in the way, if you get too close some of that filth might get on you, they're annoying, they don't ask for handouts but if you've got some they'll snarf 'em down, they seemingly come out of nowhere and all of a sudden there's a flock of them taking up the sidewalk but then you turn away for a second and they're gone. Messengers and pigeons are part of living in the city. Urban density. If you stick around a while you'll see that messengers are actually a bit more useful than pigeons.
