beer and bikes

April 22, 2007

Tell all your friends, place your bids early. I‘m not joking

I put this frame on Craigslist this morning and sold it in less than one hour.

Just recently built up for RAGBRAI I never really rode it much at all. So I made some room in the stable and passed this frame and fork on to someone else because I bought an RB-1 from Todd.

This bike is screaming to ride across Iowa. I finished putting it together this morning and took it for a ride to the grocery store to buy beer. It's solid and ready to work. The Tommasini wanted to sit around and sip espresso all day and was worried about getting her hair messed up, she wasn't too excited about RAGBRAI and seemed a bit worn out. The Bridgestone isn't afraid to get dirty and kick a little ass on some gravel roads or cobblestones or silky smooth Iowa highways or choppy Iowa backroads.

Big Jonny Drunk Cyclist put Jonny Sundt's keg cup auction link up. That's good for hundreds of hits.

I had Jonny sign my cup before he left, I just sent it out to be bronzed and mounted.

Yo Squirrel. I did it on one gear last year. But I want to hang with Chris when he hammers on those long flats with a tail wind, so I'll have a few more this year.

Is this the same Jonny that worked for Stealth as a motorcycle courier for about a week last year? I've been meaning to ask that for a while now.

I only interacted with him once or twice, but I thought the name and face were familiar.

I'm ready for the long flat stretch. I think I will be trying to keep up with you rather than you trying to keep up with me. The ride is awesome, red rims, thats cool. I have blue tires to match by blue ride. Life is great in Iowa. Decals are in, they will be flying across the country soon.
