This afternoon, I pulled my camera out of my bag for the first time in days and got a lucky shot of KNR Jr in flight as he ran the light and merged into traffic on Elliott West, which is like merging onto I-5, into cars and trucks speeding on surface streets. It's an eye opener to get buzzed by a dump truck going 50mph.

Lucky shot indeed, focussed and everything. Congrats! ------ I have a really hard time keeping it under 50mph on Elliott W. I don't even know what the speed limit is there.

In Chicago, there was (is?) Joey "The Legend" Love, a Puerto Rican messenger from NYC. He was one of the original X-Men, a New York mess group that wore hockey gear--knee and shin guards, shoulder pads, helmets, face masks, all that. Joey was well-known for lots of things, but LEGENDARY for hangin' onto cars. My buddy Jose once saw Joey tucked down on the passenger side of a cab, clutching the right rear wheel-well, gettin' towed up the on-ramp to the fucking FREEWAY. Man!
