What if you do everything right, follow instructions, respect authority, play by the rules, obey the law, play it safe, drink moderately, eat right, get plenty of rest and don’t smoke?
Then what? What happens then? Will it all pay off in the end? Will things work out for you? Was it all worth it? Do you feel better? Are you doing what you’re doing because it’s the right thing to do, or because you’re afraid of getting caught?
Are you doing it because you want to?
Did you hear about the vegan who died of colon cancer?
Did you hear about the two-pack-a-day smoker that lived to be 112?
Can you do the right thing, by the book, be conservative and still enjoy yourself? Wear a helmet. Wear a seatbelt. Wear a condom. Wear a life vest. Wear a florescent yellow rain jacket every day of the year. Wear a sign that says you play it safe.
Are you wearing it because you want to? Do you feel strange without it?
