I don’t know the real story, but I saw this on the street today, took and picture and here’s what I think was going on:
These two office workers took the time to get everyone’s drink orders and write them down, then they took up a collection of cash, or just used petty cash from the office manager, then they got the little rolly-cart thing from the mailroom and pushed it two blocks down the street to Starbucks, where they waited for 25 coffee drinks to be prepared (and it appears at least 75% of the drinks were foo-foo) Then they slowly pushed the cart back to office and distributed the drinks, then stood around and talked about the drinks, Starbucks, the drink preparation and the drink transportation mission.
Limiting our focus to just these two office workers, we’re looking at 3.5 hours of productivity down the drain. When we bring in all 25 coffee drink drinkers, productivity for the day is shot.
If you don't feel like working, that's cool, don't go to work, take the day off. But don't show up and try to bullshit the day away with stuff like this.
Starbucks, foo-foo drinks, little janky rolly pushcart thing, sandbaggers goldbrickers slackers and wind baggers. Time wasting followed by talking about time wasting.
A tremendous display of horseshit.
I'll take a tall drip, black.
