The last thing I want to do after a long day of riding in the rain is work on my bike . That's why, when I get home I toss it in the stand and mention to Brad and Skunk the issues I had with the bike during the day. Then I crack a beer and sit back and relax while they give it the once over and make the necessary repairs. Every once in a while they call me in to turn a wrench or torque a bolt, because they don't have any hands.
This is Brad about 20 minutes ago, turning away in disgust. He said take a picture it lasts longer. He was raised on square taper bottom brackets and cranks and is not impressed with these splined Ritchey cranks. The drive-side crank bolt works itself loose every few days or so and is rather annoying. The bottom bracket and cranks are the heart and soul of the bike and need to be dependable. Brad suggested some form of loc-tite and walked away, leaving it up to me. Skunk didn't even attend this session. I explained to Brad that I got the cranks free at the messenger bike swap from 32 Rob, and free is a good price, but Brad doesn't care because he doesn't know what money is.
P.S. 1-3-7
Lots of crazy people have cats. But does having a cat make you crazy?
Correlation Yes. Hell YES . Causation, I don't think so. maybe
I'm more concerned about my crank bolts.
