into and out of existence
less is more
everything you need
 nothing you don’t
those who say don’t know
those who know don’t say
it’s the same on the weekend
as the rest of the days
radiating from   or   contracting to
the original source
it won’t go away
it will only change shape
from nothingness to nothingness
between renewal and decay
somewhere along the way
  anywhere   nowhere  everywhere

You hit the nail right on the head. Right there with that old used hammer.

I keep swinging away with the same set of tools and once in a while things come together just like in junior high woodshop

I'm still rocking the speaker cabinets I made in shop class. Right in the living room. I've changed the speakers out a couple times, but the cabinets are solid. I made them in '78. Thats 31 years of music vibrating through them. From Kiss to Willie Nelson, Adam Ant to Seals&Croft, BlackFlag to The Doors. Eight track tapes of Elvis, cassettes of Madness, vinyl albums spinning out the crackling sounds of the end of the side, a portable CD player, a five disc changer, and now an mp3 player. Though the foam front covers rotted away several years ago and the tops are covered in cup/beercan ring stains, and one of my dogs pissed on them when he was a puppy, I could never bring myself to part with them. Wabi Sabi. Through use they have attained a worldly beauty. Random nicks and scratches and stains and dirt and memories, a natural process really. "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete". turn, turn, turn...

word. Right on. Wabi to the Sabi. Like a messenger bike close to decay with a little renewal along the way, it's rarely dialed-in and never declared done like a piece of artwork to hang on the wall on acid free archival quality paper only to be handled with white gloves on. Like that. yes. I'm sure the music sounds better with 31 years of history around it. Cheers to you
