the sun came out today in Seattle, clear, cold, crisp.
Icy roads everywhere in the Puget Sound area, except downtown Seattle, which was dry and clear, which works for me because I ride a bike in downtown Seattle. I'll take dry and clear and cold and crisp. thank you. thank you very much.
Today I filed a high profile case in King County Superior Court. A case so big that the press conference started before the documents were even filed. The court opend two hours late today because of the weather and the press conference went on without the essential info. The attorney handed me the documents in his office, then followed me to the court house. I beat him there, by about 9 minutes, but he caught up to me as I stood in line. I approached the clerk to file and asked the attorney if he wanted to do it himself and he said "No I'll watch you". He stood next to me and watched me to ensure that the rubber stamps were of the highest quality, and as soon as the cause number and judge were assigned he made a phone call, I finished stamping out the copies and he took it out of my hands. My question is, Why did it get in my hands in the first place? Perhaps because they don't teach you to sling rubber stamps in law school. Leave that to the pros like me. The clerk thought I was training the guy to be a messenger, she laughed when I whispered to her that he's the attorney. And then five hours later, I got copies of the documents back in my hands to serve on the defendant. And I served 'em, completing the circle. I like circles.
