a couple hours after this photo was taken, the bike on the left was stolen. I heard the frame was recovered a short time later, sans wheelset.
Cory wants you all to know that starting February 1, people will be able to load bikes onto Metro buses in the core, in the Ride-Free zone. Which means that all three of these bikes could be loaded onto a bus and taken away, far away before anyone noticed. Bus drivers don't care if the bike appears to be "free locked" they feel put upon anytime someone deploys the bike rack on their bus and they sure won't be able to match the quality of the bike with the quality of the rider and finger an obviously stolen bike. Once that bike leaves the core and the watchful network of messenger eyes and gets unloaded in some quiet residential neighborhood or a park-n-ride in Federal Way, the chances for recovery are slim.
