two bottle cages

February 11, 2007

I need a few more parts more than a few. But in 160 days this bike will be rolling across Iowa and those two bottle cages will be full of various beverages. I don't even have a seatpost yet. or bars, brakes, wheels or cranks, but I have two bottle cages, at they remind me of RAGBRAI. I don't usually roll with two. Sometimes I have one on my work bike on the seat tube because it'll hold coffee, water, juice or beer and freelocking, it keeps my lock up off my bottom bracket. But two cages says "Iowa in July"

Nice color combination so far. Chrome forks, Black and awesome red. I can't wait to see the finished version. You are our inspiration for the ride. There is great pride in getting ready for the ride when you actually build your bicycle. I got mine because I liked the color and it was in my price range. The best thing about about RAGBRAI is it's all kinds of folks, and we all love to ride.

yes. I've had two bottle cages all along. once I had 7 gears, once I had 1 gear. But this year I plan to have 16 or 18, and most importantly I'll have a BIG ring to hammer those long flat stretches with a tail wind. And that means more time in the beer gardens.
