Pantone 18-3737

July 10, 2019

Excuse me, do you know your way around campus or are you just a delivery guy?

I'm not sure what you're going to ask me next but I already know that if I do know the answer I don't really want to tell you or talk to you or help you out.

In dense urban areas bike messengers are rolling Thomas Guides full of local knowledge but they're also magnets for stupid questions from tourists and bros.  And when the questions are loaded with attitude and condescension it's best to just say "I don't know"

I even made a silkscreen 13 years ago and printed it right on my bag.  I don't know

I do know that Tapatio will always remind me of Stevil, even when it's in individually wrapped single serving sized containers and that this is more than I ever wanted to know about Pantone 18-3737

UW purple has an RGB 51 0 111 and you can convert that to a Pantone color but it's not any old Pantone you can buy at Lowe's

just a delivery guy said...

The snooty rich kid near his mom’s suv made the “just a delivery guy” remark on Monday and I actually didn’t know the answer to his question so I didn’t even have to pretend. On Wednesday there was an suv rolling slowly back and forth on Okanogan between Benson and Bagley as if it was seeking a stronger wifi signal and I thought it was just another fucking uber or lyft or both. But it was still lurking there after my second delivery and then a kid got out with his mom and he asked me if I knew where the Fisheries Science Building was and I said “Yes I do. It’s at 1122 NE Boat Street” the mom didn’t speak English too well but she typed the address into her phone and took it from there with some gps and I’m guessing the kid was 45 minutes late to his first day of camp.
